Advantame

Name: Advantame 

Advantame is a new generation sweetener synthesized from amino acids. It is a derivative of aspartame and neotame. Its sweetness is 20000 times that of sucrose. In 2014, the US FDA issued the final regulation to approve the high-power sweetener advantame as a non nutritional sweetener and flavor enhancer for use in foods other than meat and poultry. In 2017, the state health and Family Planning Commission approved advantame as a sweetener for food and beverages in its Announcement No. 8 of 2017.

N-{n-[3- (3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl) propyl]-l-a-aspartyl}-l-phenylalanine-1-methyl ester

Appearance: white crystalline powder

English Name: advantame

 

Molecular weight: 476.52 (according to the international relative atomic mass in 2007)

Advantame properties:

20000 times sweeter than sucrose

The taste is cool and pure, just like sucrose

High stability, no reaction with reducing sugar or aldehyde flavor compounds, no heat, safe metabolism, no absorption.

It is suitable for diabetics, obese patients and phenylketonuria patients.
